Woke up to snow this morning at Attalens, Switzerland. Sometimes its nice to work indoors but some of my friends posted  on FB some interesting deep snow images of some tree lined couloir skiing  around Chamonix.

 IRATA work at Altimum today, an excellent IRATA training school here in Switzerland. www.altimum.ch. Outside its rain, rain and more rain and weather forecast is for 70 cms of new snow in the mountains!

Paridiso Ski Tour

 Nice trip over the last couple of days on the Paridiso... always ace to spend a night at the Chabot!

Piolet d'Or

As leader of my Mazino Ridge Nanga Parbat expedition to Pakistan last year when Rick and I pushed on for 18 days and climbed the previously unclimbed ridge, summited and descended by the Diamir face. Rick and I were awarded the Piolet d'Or in Courmayer and Chamonix last weekend.

Oh la la, with some other amazing climbers we have also been awarded the Piolet D'or! So much  of my thanks and appreciation goes to Lhakpa Rangdu, Zarok, Nuru and Cathy for being such a fantastic team on the Mazino Ridge, Nanga Parbat! How I wish you were all here with us.
