 L'Index is a  classic rock climb,  someone wisely chopped the occasional bolts that were on it so its back to how it should be and great training for aspiring Alpine climbers.

Trois Mont Blanc

On the summit of Mont Blanc this morning  having come from the Cosmiques hut and descended via the Goutier. The  remaining portion of the large Serac on the Tacul  looks ripe for falling soon.......... but the new ladder lower down  on the first large crevasse is ace!

  Hilary and Andrew on the summit: we did the traverse from the Chabot mountain hut, over the summit and down via the Victor E hut....ace!

A fine days climbing on Aiguilles des Tetes, Chamonix, France.

 The Aiguille des Deux Tetes is 2821 m, , just up from Les Praz village and L Index  cable car system where a long time ago there was summer skiing. There is this  really cool rock climb there,  part of the climb was ascended  many years ago but it was completed in its entirety in by Laurent Colignon and Michel Funees in 2007 , it goes at TD inf. 5b (Ob). The climb has a fine airy ridge with nice exposure.

Chamonix days

 Today in the rain, Corinna  above the Albert 1er Refuge. There is  new extension being built which will be very welcome.
