Beinn a Chaorain

With Andrew on Beinn a Chaorain today (1052m), the day started well with occasional sunny spells then  late afternoon snow showers were heavy.

Cairngorms today

Compared to recently, its been a nice day in the Cairngorms. We (Andy and I) were climbing on Lurchers,  there is lots of ice around  and some dodgy snow. We did a three and a half pitch climb,  very bold on thin  but sometimes ice covered slabs with little protection on the crux pitch. V/4 maybe.....

Wild weather: Cairngorm weekend

 We have had the most horrible weather but still managed to get some reasonable things done. Above image, Asif Top Roping some steep ice.
