Snow cave and climbing weekend.

The below zero temperatures have given us good climbing and excellent snow caving conditions.

A wonderful day climbing on Lurchers Crag in the Cairngorms, we were the only climbing party there and enjoyed the tranquilty!

Ricks toes are well!

Rick came round last night and we got some photos of his toes, he had one big toe removed  but just a tiny bit to the first joint. Our ascent of the Mazino Ridge of Nanga Parbat took us close to the limits but it was such an ace climb that Rick says it was well worth it. My own toes and digits have healed up well and  I even feel good in my best and close fitting rock shoes!

On the Road from 2012 to 2013

 Swim at Frenchmans bay on the Vancouver Peninsula and got there by bike.

The day ended and the New Year begun with Fire works over Prince Royal harbour and King Georges sound, Albany.
Today an amazing drive from Albany to Margret River via, Mt Barker, the Muirs Highway to Manjimup, Bridgetown to Nannup and Busselton. One could get to like it here!

On the road! The Stirling Range, WA.

Another ace day, on the road!

 The above photo is Bluff Knoll, the highest mountain in the Stirling range at 1097m they say. The Aboriginal name for the range is Koi Kyenung-ruff, means "mist moving round the mountains"and Bluff Knoll (Bular Mial)  is an important spiritual place. Originally the Noongar people  gathered roots, seeds and fruit and hunted kangaroos,wallabies and other animals. Europen settlers arrived and took up the land, creating farms and raising live stock, cattle, sheep, wool and Sandalwood trees which were transported through the range to the port of Albany.
