We ( some of us who were climbing Ama dablam in the past years) had an outstanding meal at "Blasta" in Newtonmore last night and then we all went up the hill today and climbed a route or two. Kathy, Chris and Kambiz could not make it as they had other engagements and were greatly missed... but still, the fine vino tinto, Laphroaig and excellent Port and selection of Scottish cheeses went further without them! Its said that climbing with such exqusite nectars in ones system is similar to climbing at high altitude!Sunday, 1 March 2009

We ( some of us who were climbing Ama dablam in the past years) had an outstanding meal at "Blasta" in Newtonmore last night and then we all went up the hill today and climbed a route or two. Thanks, Sandy, for the kind mention on the 'blog'. Sorry to have to stuff you into the quarter berth for a few nights' sleep - at least it was dry!! Please join Alan & I again at any time on Spring Moon - next time let's put the city behind us and have a look-sea up the coast.
